18-course, seasonally-sourced Omakase degustation in the heart of Boston

Wa (和) Shin (心) means “harmony of the heart” - a celebrated cultural concept in Japan that speaks to a balanced mind, body and spirit.

At Wa Shin, our mission is to imbue our guests with this same beautiful energy - creating unforgettable culinary experiences that showcase the passion, precision and unparalleled quality of Japanese Omakase dining.

Meet the Chef, Sky Zheng

Wa Shin is built from the best.

Our Executive Chef Sky Zheng was mentored by Master Chef Daisuke Nakazawa - the protege of the world-renowned Jiro Ono, one of the greatest sushi craftsmen alive today and from the Netflix documentary, “Jiro Dreams of Sushi”.

Chef Sky underwent rigorous training and exploration in Nakazawa’s Michelin-starred NYC restaurant Sushi Nakazawa - one of only six restaurants with a perfect 4-star review from the The New York Times.

Now, Chef Sky has brought his exceptional talent and love of the craft to Boston - his reverence for the traditions of Japanese cuisine radiating through phenomenal flavor pairings, knife skills and presentation.

The Food:

Our promise? To never sit still. Wa Shin’s menu shifts with the seasons - ensuring only the freshest, most-delectable ingredients make it to the Omakase counter.

Chef Sky is a passionate supporter of local farmers and fishermen - upholding our commitment to harmonizing the flavors of Boston and Japan in a way you must taste to believe.

The Style:

Omakase (お任せ) means “I’ll leave it up to you” - trusting the Chef to deliver a personalized meal that is filled with theater and artistry, designed to tantalize all five senses.

Wa Shin brings you up-close-and-personal with Chef Sky as he steers the ship - delivering a stream of unconventional courses that weave a tapestry of delicious storytelling just for you.
